subject in open shade can add a soft, modeling light to their features,
such as this rabbit in the snowy bank. A slight rim light separates the
rabbit from the background. Here, the lighting of the scene is predominantly
the open shade, so the camera's light meter is correctly exposing the
scene, even though there is a small patch of bright light in the background.
