Chief Photographer Bob McNeely harbors no pretensions
about his role in photojournalism-
even though his book, The Clinton Years,
reflects six years' work as White House
chief photographer. "I'm a snapshooter," said McNeely.
"I'm a great believer in snapshots.
I work hard at making my snapshots,
but they're still snapshots." Oh, but they are extraordinary pictures
of an unforgettable time: U.S. politics
at the close of the 20th century.
After chronicling Bill Clinton's presidential
campaign in 1991, McNeely spent the next
six years photographing Clinton's presidency.
