Hong Kong is very proud of the bridge that links the new airport on Lantau Island to the rest of Hong Kong, and rightly so--it is the world's longest road and rail suspension bridge. The total span is over 1.2 miles, with more than a mile suspended between the two main towers. In addition to car traffic, the bridge encloses a high-speed airport commuter train that shuttles people between the center of Hong Kong and the airport.
