Each evening in downtown Salt Lake medals from the day are presented at the Medals Plaza in the Salt Lake Olympic Square. This is followed by a concert and fireworks. The lighting and the buildings that are wrapped with large images make for a dramatic backdrop.

It is fitting to close this edition of Snappies with one of the thousands of Salt Lake volunteers waving good-bye. After every event they thank people for coming and wish them well. They have brought many smiles to the visitors that have come from all over the world. 'Bye for now. See you in Athens in 2004!
