Kodak's Health Imaging division served 1,410 athletes through a total of 1,948 exams at the Sydney Olympics. Kodak anticipates many more exams at the Salt Lake City Games because of the nature of winter sports.
Kodak will equip the Polyclinic with:
- A fully outfitted digital radiography room with a Kodak DirectView DR 9000 Digital Radiography system that produces digital X-ray images in just 10 seconds.
- Kodak DirectView Diagnostic Workstations that enable immediate viewing of digital images for interpretation by radiologists. The Polyclinic will also have fast, on-line access to athletes' radiological images stored in the Kodak DirectView PACS EXL System.
- Kodak 3600 Distributed Medical Imager (DMI) to provide athletes with print copies of their images.
- Kodak dental products such as Kodak InSight Dental Film, Kodak Ektavision G and L Extraoral Imaging Dental Film, Kodak Readymatic Dental Chemicals, and Cook-Waite Dental Anesthetics.
Kodak is working with other imaging equipment providers for the Polyclinic including GE, who will be supplying a mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system, and ATL Ultrasound/Philips Medical Systems, who will provide an ultrasound unit.
