Corrina thinks she once threw an egg at Bingwa. Life on the streets of Venice once was hazy for her, and she doesn’t remember very well.

“I was in a school for bad girls,” she remembers. “And when I got out—I was 16—I had to try to pull myself together. Somebody told me about the Dream Team. I wanted to join. But I knew I had done something stupid—like throwing an egg at Bingwa; that’s what I remember. I told myself I just can’t ask him.” But she did.

“He’s just Bingwa. Everything goes back to him. No one gave me so much trust.” She summoned the courage and got on the Team. She learned that she was born to be a photographer. “I would be there printing at 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning,” she says. “My mother would call and find out I was there. And she knew I was OK.”

“When you’re working on something you like,” she says, “it’s not like work.” That attitude landed her a job in a Los Angeles studio, and that gave her a glimpse of celebrity photography. From there, Corrina, now 21, got a scholarship to the School of Visual Arts, an art school in New York City. She is studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. She is also working part-time in a studio, photographing fashion model and would-be models—“new faces” work, she calls it. And, like a true Dream Team veteran, she is about to travel. She’s heading for London and Paris to show off her photographs.
