Russell Carpenter

"As enormous and logistically challenging as Titanic was" Carpenter says, "I feel happiest with the more intimate scenes. This was a great opportunity to show some work that is more delicate than the action-oriented films I've done in the past. I will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity to work on a piece of film history.

"My wife Patti and I are just enjoying the tremendous reception to Titanic. I am totally satisfied with being Mr. Mom for the next few months. I want my 7 year old to know what his daddy looks like."
