Hoop, who lives in Clifton, New Jersey, has made many Art Cars, all of which feature his name in big letters. This way, when pictures of his vehicles appear in magazines and newspapers (or on the Web), he always gets credit. Hoop explains that "since I was a kid I have always been interested in unusual vehicles. In the mid-70s, I wrapped a car in black leatherette, then switched to fun fur. The response I receive is fantastic -- smiles, laughter and surprise. I've continued to create new Hoopmobiles so I can keep those smiles coming." The Hoopmobile seen here is a one-cylinder 1982 Vespacar van, decorated with golden trinkets, potted palms, and painted plush.
