"You are what you drive." It simply means that people express their identity through their choice of vehicles. But even the sleekest sports car or the longest limousine is, after all, a manufactured product. Someone else is driving the same thing!
That's why the makers of Art Cars take their vehicles a huge step further. They alter the surface, shape, color, and/or size in radically individual ways. For fun. To attract attention. And to tell the world who they are.
Harrod Blank, a charter member of the Art Car fraternity, uses his talents as a photographer and filmmaker to document this unique subculture. Let's join him for a truly wild ride.
