Developing a Career in Image Science

/exit/SearchJobs

Imagine helping underwater explorers capture treasures, assisting medical professionals in diagnosing baffling diseases, bringing the mysteries of space to earth, or preserving wedding or birthday memories for life. These are just a few examples of the ways in which imaging scientists bring new dimensions of understanding and communication into the world.

If you have a bachelor's or master's degree in science or engineering, along with imagination, enthusiasm and determination, the two-year Kodak Image Science Career Development Program is your ticket to an exciting career.

Program Participation
Each year we select 20 to 25 science and engineering graduates to enter the program. If chosen as a participant, you'll take part in job rotations and classroom instruction for two years, after which you'll be assigned to one of Kodak's business or functional units, working with your enhanced imaging technology and systems engineering knowledge.

Program Manager
The program manager coordinates job assignments with sponsors to meet your individual developmental needs, as well as the needs of your selected business area. In the program, you'll work for at least two different units, where you'll be expected to make significant contributions to meaningful projects. You'll be exposed to a wide variety of opportunities.

Program Mentors
Once hired into the program, you'll enjoy the guidance of a Kodak mentor for two years. Mentor backgrounds vary, but yours will be committed to driving your success as a new technical employee. Mentors are encouraged to meet frequently with new participants and serve as accessible resources. Often, the mentor's most important role is as your confidante and friend.

Expert Teachers
Kodak experts and professors from local universities teach all classes. Initial courses feature a mix of lecture and lab work, combined with hands-on workshops where "practicing experts" will introduce you to different photographic product groups.

Course Contents
The following courses are designed for future contributors to engineering and imaging systems:
