Science and Technology

Kodak Research focuses on leveraging scientific understanding to create technologies for Kodak products. This work starts with the materials that are used to capture, render and protect images (printed or photographic). Other research teams focus on the microscopic devices that are used to sense and control light, liquids and materials. Still other teams are devising new systems for data handling and user interface. Kodak Research Laboratories is one of the most prominent industrial research organizations in North America, dating back to 1912. The groundbreaking work that takes place in Kodak Research ensures that each new generation of Kodak products will draw upon the most advanced science and technology.
