Kodak's Commitment to Health and Safety

"The importance placed on safety at Kodak underscores the value leaders have for people at the company’s worldwide operations. Through periods of challenging economic and organizational transformation, Kodak has demonstrated improved safety performance. Kodak leaders ensure that safe workplaces and safe actions are intrinsic values, reinforced through the leveraging of best practices and the sharing of lessons learned"

-WW Corporate Health and Safety Director - Debra Schoch

Kodak has a long history of commitment to health and safety. George Eastman started the first Kodak Safety Committee in 1911 with the objective of preventing workplace injuries. George Eastman believed that workplace injuries and illnesses are preventable, and we hold that belief today.

HSE responsibility is fundamental to the Kodak Values As a world-class company and the world leader in imaging, our vision is to make measurable improvements in the health, safety and environmental aspects of our products, services and operations. Every day. Every month. Every year.

We are committed to:

            •  creating and maintaining a clean, healthful, and safe                 workplace for our employees,

            •   preventing pollution,

            •   using energy and other natural resources efficiently,                 and

            •   complying with applicable laws and regulations,                 company performance standards, and other external                 requirements.

The Kodak Health and Safety Program provides a framework that ensures health and safety controls are incorporated into all operations. This is accomplished through systematic identification, evaluation and control of potential workplace hazards and by dedicated individuals who are committed to carrying out tasks the right way every time.

Improved Health and Safety Performance

Despite many challenges, employees have found ways to achieve impressive safety performance. The occupational injury rate for Kodak operations worldwide has improved by 32% in the past three years.
