A PROFILE OF EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY
Today Kodak has manufacturing operations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UK, France, Germany, India, Australia and China. Kodak products are available in more than 150 countries. Kodak's businesses are divided into six major areas. They are Consumer Imaging, Kodak Professional, Document Imaging, Digital and Applied Imaging, Professional Motion Imaging and Health Imaging. The company's diversified product portfolio covers photographic films, paper and chemicals for consumer and professional use, film processing equipment, automatic cameras, motion picture film, medical diagnostic imaging film and equipment, digital imaging products including digital cameras, scanners, printers, digital image process and print system, color management software, microfilm, Writable CD and commercial document management systems and software.
Kodak currently has 23 liaison offices in China, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Changchun, Shenyang, Qingdao, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xian, Zhengzhou, Harbin, Tianjin, Chongqing, Dalian, Kuming, Xiamen, Urumqi, Jinan, Shengzhen, Shijiazhuang, Fuzhou and Changsha. In addition to newly formed film and photographic paper manufacturing operations in Wuxi, Shantou and Xiamen, the company also has three equipment manufacturing factories in China and one in Taiwan. Kodak set up Xinhui K.H. Optical Co., a joint venture, in 1994 to produce optics. In 1995, Kodak Electronic Products (Shanghai) Co. was established in Pudong, Shanghai. In 1996 the Pudong factory expanded its manufacturing operations from producing electronic circuit boards to automatic cameras. In the same year, Kodak set up Kodak Photographic Equipment (Shanghai) Co. that manufactures film processing equipment. In Taiwan, the Baso Precision Optics Ltd. was established in 1986. The Kodak Imaging Centres in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai serve the business and government segments. Kodak also has a software development centre in Shanghai.
