"I've also been very impressed by the image detail, especially in
the background," said Swoboda. "I've shot the same picture with both
traditional film (ASA 400 speed film) and a digital camera. The DC260
Camera produces phenomenal detail, even under low light conditions."
While Swoboda likes the cost-savings of digital photography, he
is definitely impressed by the timesavings. He says that he can
produce a high-quality digital image in about 5-10 minutes instead
of the hour or so it takes to process and scan traditional photos
into his APPLE MACINTOSH G3 Computer.
When at home, the 12 MB/secondvery high speed of the HKB transmission
lets him download his pictures directly from the camera to the computer
quickly and easily.
Swoboda's DC260 pictures have been used for every type of article
including "Page 1 stories." They have been printed up to 8" x 10"
in size and so far, have been very well received by the paper's
nearly 19,000 subscribers.
