"Another beauty of the DC260 is that you never have to worry about color balance. I would have to use daylight film in daylight, tungsten film under tungsten lights and a CC30M filter when I was shooting under fluorescent lights. After all these years, it's nice to just pick up the camera and shoot."

Allikas also liked the DC260's HKB-compatibility, for high-speed image transfer, and the external flash sync, which allows him to sync with studio lights. When he's in his studio shooting with film, he'll use the DC260 Camera with the AC adapter as a mini studio camera to preview his pictures. Increasingly, Allikas is using his DC260 to create innovative print pieces such as this direct mail postcard (to the right).

Allikas has won numerous awards for both his orchids and his orchid photography. He continues to use his digital camera to design and produce client websites. And, he currently is using his DC260 Camera to create an interactive CD on how to pot orchids, which he will sell on his website, where he has already posted several hundred photos of these treasured flowers.
